For over four decades, the European Union has managed a great deal of international trade policy on behalf of the UK. Now the UK will develop its own independent trade policy and looks to forge new and ambitious trade relationships with its partners around the world. Minister of State Hollingbery MP has kindly agreed to talk to AERL Members on the approach and the UK's vision of the future trade policy.
George Hollingbery was appointed Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade on 21 June 2018. Previously he served as the Prime Minister’s Parliamentary Private Secretary from July 2016 to June 2018. He served as a Government Whip (Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury) from May 2015 until July 2016. He was elected Conservative MP for Meon Valley in May 2010.
