The Embassy of Switzerland in the UK and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), in conjunction with the Edinburgh Tax Network and Terra Firma Chambers, are delighted to invite you to this high-level panel discussion and networking event at Edinburgh’s Old Parliament Hall.

ESG considerations are now key for investors around the globe. With COP 26 Scotland moved to centre stage for international discussions on sustainability last autumn. Both Swiss and UK financial centres are committed to becoming leading international locations for sustainable finance to support the global green agenda and deliver on the political commitments made.

Join us for a discussion on the complex interplay between legal, regulatory and economic considerations around ESG-investing and sustainable finance. Can existing governance paradigms be squared with social and environmental goals? Might fiduciaries legal obligations to act in the narrow interests of beneficiaries or objectives impair green investing?

The evening will conclude with a networking reception with Swiss wines and canapés
